Day 13 Poem: our ferris wheel

our ferris wheel

Life can be like a ferris wheel
full of its ups and its downs
so when life throws you a curveball
don’t look down

The downs can feel pretty calming
but when life takes a certain turn
and you feel out of control
don’t look down

Sometimes it feels like we’re sailing along
and the sky’s all bright and blue
then here comes a train to shake up your rails
don’t look down

The thoughts of your past can be warming
and can brighten up your days
but when regret comes calling, remember
don’t look down

Leave the past where it is relegated back there
and the future to care for itself
live your life in the present receive all the good
don’t look down

Life can feel like a ferris wheel it’s so true
romantic exciting full of fear no control...
but a blast to live out, keep your eyes on the prize
and don’t look down

Prompt for today: pep talk

"Everything is going to be all right."
God wants us to know that not only does he care for great and noble things, but equally for little and small, lowly and simple things as well.
"You will see for yourself that every sort of thing will be all right."
It is as if he were saying, "Be careful now to believe and trust, and in the end you will see it all in its fullness and joy."
In these two sayings the soul discerns various meanings.
